Rain doesn't stop play at Moffat Academy sports day
Trophy, cup and medal winners at Moffat Academy’s sports day

Rain did not stop play at Moffat Academy’s sports day.

Throughout this term all secondary pupils have been training and qualifying for sports day and expectations were high.

This year the school opted to hold a qualification day to allow more training and preparation time and the feedback from pupils was very positive, so we will look to continue this next year.

All athletes demonstrated an excellent positive attitude and competed in determined manner while also encouraging fellow competitors.

Many thanks to Miss Tessa Gibbon’s fabulous photography group who took so many wonderful photos which will be made into a display in due course.

Thank you to all staff and pupils who assisted with the organisation of this event.

A special mention needs to be made to the successful staff relay team for continuing their winning streak.

Thank you to Mr Scott and Mr Meola for their fantastic organisation of the event.

A special mention needs to be made for the resilience of all the competitors that performed so well in the adverse weather conditions.

The downpour meant that conditions on the track were slow which only allowed for one track record to be broken.
