A special exhibition will open in Kirkcudbright this week to mark a gallery’s 20th anniversary.

A preview showing of Twenty Years will be held at The Whitehouse Gallery on Saturday, with the exhibition then running until the end of August.

The Whitehouse originally opened in 2004 as a small, independent art gallery and has grown into one of the country’s most exciting contemporary galleries.

The new exhibition will feature works from 20 fine artists who have helped shape the gallery into what it is today, ranging from long-standing exhibitors to more recent additions to the roster.

There will also be brand new collections of sculpture and applied craft.
