Gala season has started in Lockerbie with the countdown now on for the Riding of the Marches in July.
A Lockerbie Gala Fun Day on Saturday kicked off the fun for all ages.
It was organised by the Lockerbie Gala and Riding of the Marches Committee and The RH Youth Organisation, running across four hours on the land behind the Lockerbie Ice Rink.

The family-orientated event in the sunshine featured a range of different activities to try for free, which were enjoyed by excited children. They included bouncy castles from Potts amusements, obstacle course, water slides, craft tent and much more.
There was also be fundraising stalls offering tombola, guess the sweets in the jar and the teddy’s birthday as well as temporary tattoos and hair braiding raising money for Lockerbie Gala and RHYO.
Refreshments came from Humes Catering Services’ ice cream van while Jodie’s cafe provided food and drinks.
