(TEMPORARY VARIOUS SPEED LIMITS)
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that The Dumfries and Galloway Council has made an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Traffic Regulation Order will be to impose a temporary 20mph speed limit on specified lengths of roads within the extents of the existing 30mph speed limit in Hightae as detailed within the confines indicated by a solid black line on the plan below and in Schedule A.
The general effect of the Traffic Regulation Order will be to impose a temporary 30mph speed limit on specified lengths of roads within Hightae as indicated with a solid red line on the plan below and in Schedule B.
The temporary speed limit is necessary to alleviate the likelihood of danger to the public caused by the potential conflict and collision between vehicles, pedal cycles and pedestrians on the roads stated by traffic travelling at speeds.
The temporary speed limits will be in force within Hightae from 00.00hrs, 29/04/2024 until 23.59hrs, 28/10/2025 (18 months).
