A Dalbeattie wedding boutique has been named the best in Scotland.
Isobel Florence Bridal landed the accolade at the Scottish Wedding Awards in Glasgow.
Owner Julie Wong said: “I’ve won before for the south of Scotland but I was quite shocked to win for the whole of Scotland.
“I’ve been in my current shop for coming up three years. Before that, I was across the road in the old Royal Bank of Scotland, where I was for five years.
“And the year before that I started off in a tiny wee one room shop selling second hand wedding dresses.
“I only do new now – it’s wedding dresses, bridesmaids, mother of the bride, flower girl, that sort of thing.
“I’ve one member of staff, Stephen, who is my main consultant.
“My husband does all my admin for me and my daughter does all my social media.”
Isobel Florence Bridal scooped the award for best wedding boutique in the south of Scotland at the 11th Scottish Wedding Awards in The Doubletree by Hilton in Glasgow before going on to be named the best in Scotland.
Four other Dumfries and Galloway businesses also enjoyed success.
Galloway Bridal in Stranraer was named wedding accessories provider of the year.
Diane Boa Mobile Wedding hair and Make Up took the south Scotland award for freelance wedding hair and make-up artist.
Hetland Hall Hotel was named south Scotland’s top wedding venue, with Cakes by Agnes in Dumfries winning the prize for south Scotland’s best cake designer.
A spokesman for the awards said: “After more than a decade we’re proud to be able to celebrate those that have demonstrated excellence in Scotland’s ever growing wedding industry.
“This year’s winners truly deserve this recognition for their exceptional work, and we hope that their success will inspire others in the industry to strive for excellence.
