The Rotary Club of Kirkcudbright recently held a spelling bee in the town’s primary school.
Eighteen pupils took part, bravely tackling the daunting task of spelling words in front of an audience. All of them received a well earned certificate.
The winner was Elliot from Gatehouse Primary and the runner-up was Calli from Auchencairn Primary.
Both received certificates and cash prizes from Rotary president Allan Ross.
